Trainer


Job Title: Trainer

Location: Newark

Hours: Part Time (22.5 hours over three days) or option of Full Time (37.5 hours if Maybo Trainer Qualification)

Salary: £22,000 per annum (Full Time)

Job Purpose

To develop courses/materials and to deliver training to train staff in all aspects of their role; working within Eden’s core values, legislation and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.

Duties

  • Research, design and update all training materials embedding new legislation, policies and practices
  • Support the Group Learning and Development Manager in the delivery of the annual training plan
  • Deliver mandatory training to new and existing staff, at any of our locations across the UK. Training includes and is not limited to
  • Moving and Handling
  • Hoisting
  • Maybo Conflict Management
  • First Aid
  • Safeguarding
  • Medication
  • Corporate Induction
  • Any other courses as/when required
  • Working closely with operational leads ensuring training is relevant and focused on the differing needs across our service areas
  • Supporting the diploma and apprenticeship process, ensuring staff receive the appropriate training, observation and support
  • Undertake continuing professional development through research and attending relevant training
  • Provide appropriate support to learners across the organization where needed i.e. dyslexia
  • Achieve and maintain Eden Future’s performance standards for a trainer
  • Completing other duties as determined by the Group Learning and Development Manager, within the general scope of the post

  • Ensure all new members of the training team are fully supported into their role by providing guidance and mentoring where appropriate

  • Identify areas for personal training / development and be open to accept new challenges
  • Challenge behaviours that do not align with company values and be brave when making decisions and providing professional feedback
  • Promote and support culture of learning and development for all
  • Work in partnership with other departments across the Group in order to ensure consistency of approach within the training delivery and organisation to meet the needs of each role within the business
  • Liaise with the other departments within Eden to establish positive, professional and robust working relationships, ensuring the training department seek to maintain good communication (e.g. care/support department)
  • Work within Eden Futures policies and procedures at all times
