L&D Coordinator


Job Title: L&D Coordinator

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary Band: £20,000-£25,000 per annum

Location: Home based initially with the expectation to be office based longer term. Travel to services will also be required as and when necessary

Job Purpose

The role of the L&D Coordinator will be to work alongside the team to be a main point of contact for the L&D Team to ensure training is coordinated in line with business requirements.

Main Duties:

  • Plan and coordinate the annual training schedule to ensure training is booked in line with the commercial and operational requirements
  • Proactively meet with managers on a regular basis to ensure capacity statistics are meeting expectations
  • Provide weekly and monthly stats as required
  • Work closely with the Training Administrator and cover duties during planned and unplanned leave
  • Work closely with the training team to ensure the training schedule is fully communicated and they are using the most up to date material
  • Using an agreed auditing process, attend training sessions with the trainers to ensure we are delivering material in line with the course plan
  • Be a point of contact for new starters to answer any queries in line with the employee onboarding platform
  • Collate feedback from delegates and produce reports which can be used to help decision making within the department and be fed back into the training team
  • Assist the HR Manager in the onboarding process for new starters and liaising with managers
  • Visit services, engage with the operational team to build relationships across the business regularly
  • Be a point of contact with external contacts and assist in coordinating initiatives such as the Apprenticeship scheme or newly rolled out company training courses
  • Attend group supervisions within Operations to listen to feedback from managers so we can continually improve the processes within the department for the internal customers (all Eden Futures staff)
  • Be a point of contact for the “buddy” systems and collate feedback on progress/success
  • Coordinate the L&D material review process and proactively engage with the process owners to plan in the schedule of reviews
  • Deliver KPI’s in accordance with the agreed deliverables which will be set during the induction period

Requirements

  • Proven experience of excellent organisational skills, administration and IT skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and external agencies
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience of liaising across multiple locations in a coordinator capacity
  • Previous exposure to coordinating internal activities in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and manage own workload
  • Be able to demonstrate a professional and positive outlook
  • Able to demonstrate responsiveness
  • Ideally has a background of coordinating internal and external training, however similar experience would be considered acceptable
  • Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs in advance where possible
  • Be willing to develop this role in line with the needs of the business
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and the desire to go the extra mile
  • Hold a clean driving licence and willing to drive to services/locations as the role dictates
  • Qualification in L&D or Administration desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience of auditing and providing feedback on results
  • Previous experience of report writing and analysing data
  • Ability to demonstrate that they are KPI focused to ensure the company delivers against the objectives of the role
