Alex Pugh - The Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards Finalist

Alex Pugh, Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards Finalist

We are thrilled to announce that our Head of HR, Alex Pugh, is a finalist in The Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards, specifically in the ‘Wellbeing at Work’ category!

Over 85% of the social care workforce is female. Many of these hard working, dedicated and talented women juggle the challenges of family life with their career.

The purpose of The Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards is to highlight and celebrate the incredible achievements of our female leaders in all roles and from all corners of the sector, and create a platform to support rising stars and future leaders.

Alex’s innovation in launching ‘Eden Together’, our monthly health and wellbeing magazine plus the tools she’s developed on our wellbeing platform has been a great success: https://edenfutures.org/wellbeing/

In Alex’s own words: “We introduced Eden Together in 2022 to foster conversations around health and wellbeing, emphasising its importance and encouraging everyone to seek help when they need it. We’ve all faced challenges regarding our mental health so by initiating open dialogues, we aim to eradicate feelings of solitude during these moments and continue a culture in which our staff and people we support can thrive. Our objective with Eden Together and the wellbeing platform was to design a space where everyone can easily find the support they need or pass it on to someone who might benefit from it. From emotional health, financial wellness, environmental wellbeing to mindfulness and celebrating diversity and individual differences, every edition covers important topics.

At Eden Futures, where our people are at the heart of our purpose, we’ve taken significant steps to enhance our People Strategy, guided by our core values of: Brave, Honest, Caring and Compassionate, Positive, Professional, and Responsive. We’ve refreshed our People Strategy again this year to outline our accomplishments and our 2024 aspirations. We aim to further solidify our position as a provider and employer of choice and ensure our teams feels valued, engaged and equipped to succeed. As part of this, we will continue our mission to build a culture where health and wellbeing is supported so that our people are happy, resilient and feel well at work.”

Well done to Alex for her exceptional contribution, and here’s to a brighter, healthier future for us all!
