New supported living services and jobs coming to Derby city

Eden Futures’ new supported living service in Derby city is taking shape with the company expecting to welcome users early next year.  As a result, the company is recruiting 25 new support worker jobs over the next three to nine months to facilitate this.

Construction is on track. Opening late January 2021, Eden Futures will provide 12 self-contained apartments and three new build specialist bungalows with built-in assistive technology.

Eden Futures is working with developers Minster Developments and Specialist Supported Living Ltd,  social landlord Inclusion Housing and the commissioning team of Derby City Council to provide this new service which is 11 miles away from its existing services in Derbyshire.

Dave Whittock, director of service development, says: “We’ve helped many people to live in their own home in their own community. This is achieved by working alongside them with the cooperation of developers, commissioners, landlords and health professionals. This allows us to identify potential new sites where the right accommodation can be built, with the right support system around it so it can operate sustainably, like here in Derby.”
