A young couple with learning disabilities have fulfilled their dreams of moving into their first marital home thanks to Eden Futures.
Michelle and Craig Davies have been living in supported living accommodation in Rotheram since January 2018 and have made firm friends with their neighbours in the block.
Craig’s brother, Stephen, has also joined his brother at the 12-apartment complex, receiving a warm welcome from other service users with a barbeque.
When asked how they felt about their new accommodation, the couple remarked, “We are finally home!”
Rachel Schofield, Team Manager at Eden Futures, commented: “We’re thrilled that we’ve been able to help Craig and Michelle to move into their dream home where I’m sure they will spend many happy years.
“They not only have their own independence but can also enjoy having family close by. It is stories like this that makes every part of our job as social care professionals worth it and we’d like to extend a huge congratulations to the lovely couple on their new home.”
Vincent Apartments provides 24-hour care and support to individuals in the community with learning difficulties. Assistive technology and equipment has been included in the apartments to promote independent living.
