Support & Housing Solutions for Adults with Support Needs

Our first service was established in 1994 in direct response to local Commissioners to develop flexible long-term care, support and housing solutions for people with a Learning Disability who have been discharged from long stay-campus provision.

From small beginnings, we initially provided support for four people with learning disabilities; Eden Futures has developed a track record of measured growth and reinvestment. This has provided us with the financial strength, expertise and vision to continue to develop and to offer people with disabilities the opportunity to live fulfilling lives.

We pride ourselves on keeping our promises, being committed and creative in developing solutions with commissioners and service users and their families to meet individual need. As we expanded our supported living services for people with learning disabilities we also started to develop specialisms in other areas, enabling us to support people with a wide variety of support needs including autistic spectrum conditions, mental health support needs and acquired brain injury.

In 2011 a number of high quality care and support organisations started to join the group. This has further increased our breadth of services and increased our geographical footprint. We deliver a Complex Care service which provides nurse-led complex care in people’s homes.

Delivering person-centred support that enables adults who have experienced life changing events leading to conditions such as brain injury and spinal injury to lead full and independent lives.

We now also provide small registered care services across the country. Again, responding to commissioner and individual need, we have developed services to support people who historically have challenging behaviour and who have previously been deemed as unable to live in the community; and so had been placed in long-stay multi-occupancy settings.

We have developed these services around individual needs and provided bespoke expert environments and staff teams. We have had significant success in enabling this hard to reach service user group to live more fulfilled and meaningful lives. Eden continues to grow, developing and expanding its services, across England and Wales. Our care pathway also continues to grow and developsupporting people under the Mental Health Act in single person apartments and registered care services including single person Registered Care Homes.

The growth of our care pathway ensures continuity of care and locality as services users’ needs and aspirations change. We are flexible and creative in our approach to developing packages, drawing on the expertise of an experienced and qualified staff team alongside the experience of the people who use our services.

Today we support over 800 people in various settings and have approaching 2000 staff working to support, sustain and develop our services.
